The story begins in 1835, France. The pretty Rose Dupre is bullied and shunned by the townspeople, who call her the witch's daughter. They believe her mother Lea is a witch who kills and eats humans. However, two kids named Marie and Pierre don't believe all those rumors and decide to protect Rose... But no one can deny that there have been a lot of strange things happening lately, and when a mysterious stranger arrives in town the situation only seems to escalate more. Who is behind all this?
